AS Roma Academy New York, a not-for-profit organization, is the official youth soccer academy of AS Roma in New York State, dedicated to boys and girls, ages 5 to 17 years old, which offers the opportunity to learn the methodologies and training techniques that inspired talented players such as Francesco Totti, Daniele De Rossi, Alessandro Florenzi, and Lorenzo Pellegrini. Through the direction of AS Roma’s technical staff and specialized local coaches, every player will be supported to reach their full potential while learning the training & educational approach used by AS Roma’s Youth Sector.

Two locations in New York: Westchester County & The Bronx.

TRAINING APPROACH

Our training is situational based. In every drill, we create a game situation to push the players to constantly find solutions. AS Roma teaches the athletes using an inductive method by guiding them to discover the solutions to every situation on their own.

TECHNICAL ASPECT

We work on all technical aspects as it is a crucial factor in being able to execute our game plan and to apply in all of our principles. Training in game scenarios helps the player to develop his/her technique in real game situations.

STYLE OF PLAY

Our style of play is to dominate the game in both phases. When in possession, we always look to gain space and create opportunities to score. When not in possession, we look to recover the ball as quickly and effectively as possible.

MENTAL FACTOR

AS Roma creates situations that constantly force the player to make decisions. Through the Club’s inductive method of coaching, AS Roma’s technical staff guides every athlete to discover the solutions rather than merely giving them the answers.
